About Koquio
Built on craft and comfort.
Koquio is a Korean rotisserie house built on two things: craft and comfort.
Our specialty is nurungji tongdak — whole chicken slow-roasted in a golden, crackling crust of crispy rice until the skin shatters and the meat pulls clean off the bone.
From Seoul to your soul
It's a dish rooted in Korean home cooking, where nothing goes to waste and every layer earns its place. We treat every bird that comes off our rotisserie with that same respect: house-made glazes, careful seasoning, no shortcuts.
We opened our doors in Duluth with a simple idea — that the food you love most is the kind you want to share.

About Koquio
Koquio is a Korean rotisserie house built on two things: craft and comfort.
Our specialty is nurungji tongdak — whole chicken slow-roasted in a golden, crackling crust of crispy rice until the skin shatters and the meat pulls clean off the bone.
So we built Koquio to feel like that kind of table. Pile the chicken high, pass the banchan, pour the drinks. Whether gochujang and cheese is your first taste of Korean flavor or the soy-garlic glaze takes you straight back to a street stall in Seoul, we want you to feel at home here.

The people behind Koquio
A restaurant built on family, hospitality, and pride.
In the training manual, Jimmy welcomes the team by name and makes the intent clear: Koquio was built by Jimmy and Sunnie to bring people together through food, warm hospitality, and a fun, welcoming atmosphere.
The food gives that story its center. Rotisserie chicken stuffed with rice, crisp skin, juicy meat, and bold Korean flavor is not just a menu item here — it is the dish that defines the room and the standard the kitchen is built around.
The team standard is just as important as the food. Koquio trains around three values — hospitality, teamwork, and pride — so guests feel seen, valued, and at home instead of just served.
Founder welcome
Built by Jimmy and Sunnie
Jimmy Tanaka and his wife Sunnie built Koquio around a simple idea: bring people together through food, warm hospitality, and a room that feels welcoming from the second guests walk in.
What makes Koquio different
Rotisserie first, comfort always
Koquio centers on Korean rotisserie chicken stuffed with rice, inspired by home-style cooking. Crispy on the outside, juicy inside, and built for sharing, it is the dish that anchors the entire restaurant.
The Koquio way
Connection first, always
The team is trained around three values from the manual: hospitality, teamwork, and pride. The standard is simple — every guest should feel seen, valued, and comfortable enough to come back again.
